About Us
& La Calade
Your hosts
Hello! We are Rob, Natalie and Théo
We moved from the French Alps to the sunny South at the end of 2017 in search of our dream home and Bed & Breakfast, looking for a bit of a change of scenery, a quieter life and to be closer to Rob’s parents, who live up the road. Théo then joined us in August 2018 to change our life totally once again!
Rob (also known as ‘TC’) had had his own bar in the ski resort of Tignes for the last 17 years, and Natalie had been working in chalets and bars in various ski resorts across Europe for about 10 years. We met one fateful night in TC’s Bar and the rest, as they say, is history!
So after working in tourism and hospitality for over a decade we felt we wanted to continue, which is when the idea of La Calade was born. The perfect place to continue meeting new people, sharing our knowledge of this beautiful area, the wonderful cycling in the surrounding countryside and our new passion for Languedoc wine!
The most important thing to us is our guests’ experience.
“Newly renovated, extremely clean and beautiful. Our hosts were attentive and wonderfully relaxed. Spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Great shower. Yummy breakfast. Lovely home in the most picturesque village. We are definitely returning! Thank you Nat, Rob and Théo”
the property
La Calade
La Calade, like many properties in this area, was once a ‘maison vigneronne’ or winemakers home. It dates back to about 1850 and retains the large garage doors, and ancient wine ‘cuve’ or wine vat in the cellar.
The house itself also maintains many of its original features; including the original stone staircase, exposed beams and exposed stone walls. These have been perfectly combined with quirky upcycled furniture and modern fixtures creating the perfect place to spend your time in Southern France
