How do you fancy a relaxing stay at La Calade combined with a weekend of sketching in the local vineyards of Montouliers?

Stay in one of our beautiful en-suite rooms, spend your days being taught by the very talented and patient Annette and your evenings relaxing in our courtyard garden with a glass of wine and maybe a barbecue or a cheese and charcuterie platter all prepared for you.

The sketching holiday starts on Friday evening with a welcome drink at 6pm. You then start sketching at 9.30am on Saturday finishing at approximately 4.30pm.  On Sunday you will sketch from 10am through to 1pm and the afternoon is yours to enjoy, relax, explore, or sketch some more!

You’ll start by getting to grips with some of the basics of travel sketching with ink and watercolour – ideal for beginners or a great refresher if you’ve already got some drawing or painting experience. You’ll be exploring the village and surrounding area through your sketches, learning a whole pack of tips and tricks about perspective, colour, journaling and of course, tasting some of the local produce!

Natalie recently took part in one of Annette’s sketching workshops and was amazed at what she could achieve in an afternoon.  She picked up lots of useful tips, met some wonderful people and walked away with a sketch she was proud of and more importantly the incentive to get out there and sketch the things usually taken for granted in the surroundings!
